Ice Industries Doubles Size of Monterrey, Mexico Location
SYLVANIA, OH – March 17, 2011 – Further evidence of Ice Industries' growing presence in Mexico is demonstrated with the announcement by Howard Ice, Ice’s founder and CEO, that the company is more than doubling the size of its Mexico facility, located in Parque Stiva Aeropuerto in Monterrey/Apodaca. Ice’s dedication to continually expanding its skill set, and growing with its customers, has continued in 2011 with this expansion.
An abundance of demand from both new and existing customers in the Monterrey / Nuevo Leon region of Mexico have prompted Ice to undertake this expansion. Ice is adding 60,000 square feet to the existing 50,000 square foot facility.
In keeping with its heritage as a pressure vessel manufacturer, Ice currently delivers a variety of stamped, welded and leak tested parts out of its Monterrey facility. These include fire extinguisher cylinders, a large variety of compressor components and heavy duty aftermarket filter housings. Ice’s assets in its Monterrey location include a wide variety of hydraulic and mechanical stamping presses, welding and leak testing assets which are suitable to serving a variety of markets. With this expansion, additional stamping equipment and machining centers are being installed, which will further Ice’s capabilities within its Mexico facility.
“Ice is dedicated to serving a variety of customers needs throughout the central manufacturing corridor of the U.S. and Mexico, and with this expansion we are continuing our commitment to serving an expanding customer base in Mexico” said Howard Ice. “When this expansion is complete, Ice’s Mexico location will be one of the most capable stamping operations within the region.”
