Investment for Future Growth
TOLEDO, Ohio – Aug. 1, 2006 – In an effort to meet growing demand for high-volume stampings for its customers and to continue to increase its press capabilities, Ice Industries, a leading metal stamping and assembly company, recently purchased eight presses from the former Jeep Parkway facility in Toledo, Ohio.
The presses range in size from 500 to 900 tons and will add two complete tandem lines to Ice’s capacity. The presses will be added to either the Ice Deerfield Manufacturing facility in Mason, Ohio or the Ice Mississippi plant in Grenada, Miss.
“Ice Industries continues to grow, and we continue to make investments that will enable us to expand our capabilities and meet increasing customer demand,” said Paul Bishop, President and Chief Operating Officer, Ice Industries. “The purchase of these presses demonstrates the eagerness of Ice Industries to continue to expand our business and provide customers with a long-term, collaborative solution to their outsourcing needs.”
Capable of producing high volume stampings, the presses will be used as Ice continues to expand its business, most notably in the automotive; heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration (HVACR); appliance; and off-highway industries.
Ice anticipates moving these presses and having them operational in the fourth quarter of this year.
