Ice Industries Founder, Chairman, and CEO Howard Ice Joins Trade Delegation in Washington, D.C.
March 9, 2015- Howard Ice, Chairman and CEO of Ice Industries, based in Sylvania, Ohio, was a recent guest of a trade delegation to Washington D.C., sponsored by the Business Roundtable (BRT). The Business Roundtable is an association of chief executive officers of leading U.S. companies, working to promote sound public policy and a thriving economy.
As part of that group’s advocacy in support of free trade, the adoption of the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) trade bill, and a new Trans-Atlantic Free Trade Agreement (TAFTA); Mr. Ice met with numerous U.S. senators and congressmen on the two day blitz. Also visited was Ms. Penny Pritzker, U.S. Secretary of Commerce, to discuss international trade and how it affects small-and middle-market employers.
In conjunction with his trip, Mr. Ice authored an Opinion letter relating to the same subject, which appeared in the Congressional newspaper, The Hill, a paper published daily by Capitol Hill Publishing Corp., a subsidiary of News Communications, Inc.
